Saw Harry Potter 6 today--liked certain parts, was annoyed with others. It seemed like they took a lot of the drama out of the pieces that were meant to be the hard-hitters (c'mon, having Snape yell out DON'T CALL ME COWARD in that last scene is essential, you can't just cut it!), which kinda flattened the whole thing out from time to time. And wtf was up with the random burning-down of the Burrow? It's like "haha we are evil people, therefore we're gonna swoop down and draw a big circle of fire around your house, then throw in a completely unexplained character for a two-second wordless cameo before scuttling off without any attempts to get anything useful accomplished here..."

Forgive the rambling, I'm exhausted from the tandem of Photoshop-teaching and novel-editing (and I'll admit: staying up till 2 on the days I'm required to be up at 6:30 the next morning might not be among the greatest ideas I've ever had.)
